Easy Granola Apple Crisp

Hello again friends!

Well, how about another recipe from that cookbook that I've been trying out? It's called "101 Things To Do With a Slow Cooker." I made this dessert one day last week when we had one of our chilly Spring days. I always loved Apple Crisp as a kid. The Apple Crisp from the school cafeteria was always one of my favorite things to eat at lunch. I've been searching for an Apple Crisp similar to it, so I'm willing to try any new recipe that I come across that will give that crunch that I loved so much. The granola topping on this was very crunchy. Not exactly like that cafeteria Apple Crisp so I guess that the search is still on, but it was still very yummy. This recipe is super easy using apple pie filling. Give it a try!

Servings: 6-8
Cook Time: 3 hours
Easy Granola Apple Crisp



Ingredients:
2 cans (21 oz. each) apple pie filling
2 1/2 cups of granola cereal
1 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon
1/3 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of melted butter or margarine
Optional: Vanilla ice-cream


Directions:
1.) Place pie filling on bottom of greased slow cooker.
2.) In this order, sprinkle ingredients on top of pie filling: granola, cinnamon, sugar, then butter/margarine.


3.) Cover and cook on LOW for 3 hours.


4.) Optional: Top with vanilla ice-cream and serve.

Mocha Punch

Hey y'all! This punch can be customized with any coffee and chocolate ice-cream of your choosing. The original recipe did not call for whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles to be added, but I saw where someone commented that they did this, so I decided to try it. I must say that the punch was awesome by itself, but adding the toppings make it even better! It was soooooo creamy. Plus, who doesn't like chocolate sprinkles? If you have any left over you can even store it in an airtight container in your refrigerator and save for later! I just had a cup of what we had left, and it is still delicious even after the ice-cream has completely melted. Boston Cream Poke Cake

Hey guys! I can honestly say that this is one of the BEST desserts that I have made so far. Definitely in my top 5. Maybe even my top 3.  This was a new recipe that I tried on Labor Day, and I wish I would have found it sooner! It's one of my new favorites. It is so moist with the vanilla pudding, and i t is topped with a simple chocolate ganache that is just DELICIOUS !  I learned a few things while making this for the first time. First, you have to have some patience while waiting for this dessert to be done, but it's worth the wait. Second, if I had a baking dish slightly larger than a 9 X 13 I would use it next time because after adding the pudding and ganache on top, it was almost flowing over the pan. I definitely could not put a lid or anything on top to cover the cake without messing it up. Also, when poking the holes in the cake, I wish I would have made them a little bit larger so that the pudding would have soaked more into the cake. After pouring the gana...
