Chocolate Custard Cake

Hey everyone! If you're a chocolate lover like me, this Crock-pot Chocolate Custard Cake is just the thing for you! I think the "sauce" is what really makes this dessert. It reminds me of the Chocolate Lava Cake that I blogged about a little while back, but I actually think that this recipe is better. After delivering some to the in-laws, I received two different texts telling me that they thought it was delicious, and I have to agree. My father-in-law said it may even be "one of the best yet". So if you want, or even need, something warm, gooey, and chocolatey in your life, this is it!  Recipe from: "101 Things To Do With A Slow Cooker" Servings: 6-8 Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 2 - 2 1/2 hours Ingredients Batter: 2 cups of a packaged brownie mix 1 large egg 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil 1/4 cup of water Sauce: 1 cup of hot water 1/2 cup of brown sugar 3 tablespoons of baking cocoa Directions: 1.) In a mixing bowl,...

Sour Cream Enchiladas

Hey there friends! I want to share a recipe with you that I've been making for the last few years. This is definitely one of my "go-to" recipes for dinner. You can use diced chicken breast, but I like to use canned chicken as well. If you want a little spice to them, just add the green chilies. These are easy to make, creamy, and delicious. I love everything about them! Give these Enchiladas a try, and let me know what you think! Recipe adapted from: Food.com Total Time: 45 minutes Servings: 5 large enchiladas Ingredients: 1 pound of chicken breast, diced (if short on time, use cooked canned chicken) 1 medium onion, chopped 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil 5 large flour tortillas 1 1/2 cups of grated Monterey Jack or Mexican Blend cheese 1/4 cup of butter 1/4 cup of flour 1 (15 oz.) can of chicken broth 1 cup of sour cream Optional: 1 (4 oz.) can of green chilies Directions: 1.) Easy Blackberry Dumplings

We have what I originally thought were blackberry bushes growing here and there along our property. I've been finding new bushes these last few weeks while out walking Butters. I've been checking them every day and waiting for them to ripen. I have even been careful not to run over them with the lawn mower and have been hoping that the animals do not get to them before I do. Well, I finally picked some that were ripe (ripe by my standards anyway), and it turns out that they are actually DEWBERRIES, which are related and very similar to blackberries, just not as big. I was upset at first (why is my life a lie?!) because I had this recipe planned since I first saw the berries. But hey, I made it work. I just added the dewberries together with some blackberries and TA-DA! It was delicious, and no one would have known the difference if I hadn't told them (ok, maybe they told me, but that's beside the point). Anyway, if you do not have any wild dewberries on hand, just u...

Cream Cheese Teddy Graham Dip

Hey y'all! This is a sweet and yummy treat that I have made several times before. I found the recipe a few years ago in a sale paper at a local grocery store. It is SUPER easy....and has cream cheese! The hardest part is putting it in the refrigerator to give it time to cool and harden. This time I did not have any mini chocolate chips on hand, so I used regular sized chips, and they worked just fine! Also, I couldn't decide on which Teddy Grahams to use, so I bought two different kinds for dipping. This would be a great dessert for kids of all ages, or even those of us who are just kids at heart. 💗 🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻 Recipe from: CV's sale paper Total Time: 10 minutes Servings: about 10 Cream Cheese Teddy Graham Dip Ingredients: 8 oz. package of cream cheese 1/2 cup of butter, softened 3/4 cup of powdered sugar 2 tablespoons of brown sugar 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 1 cup of mini semi-sweet chocolate chips Box of Teddy Grahams of your ...
