Simple Slow Cooker Chili

Hey y'all! I know Chili is more of a fall/winter food, but with all of the rain we had yesterday, I was wanting something warm and comforting, and this Simple Slow Cooker Chili hit the spot! I found this recipe in a cookbook that my mother-in-law let me borrow. It has several simple recipes that I plan on trying and sharing with you! Slow Cooker Chocolate Lava Cake

Hey everyone! I know you're probably wondering why in the world I haven't posted a recipe with some CHOCOLATE in it yet. Well, I was wondering the same thing......so here it is! As I sit here eating from a bag of chocolate chips, (hey, I'm an adult), I can tell you that this Chocolate Lava Cake was much needed, and YUMMY!  Recipe from "Tasty" Servings: 6-8 Total Prep Time: 5-10 minutes Total Cook Time: 2 1/2 hours Slow Cooker Chocolate Lava Cake Ingredients: 1 box of chocolate cake mix (I used Devil's Food Cake) with corresponding ingredients (oil, water, egg) 1 package of instant chocolate pudding (I used Devil's Food) with corresponding ingredients (milk) Semi sweet chocolate chips (I used about 1 cup. I did not do this, and the edges of the

Chicken Salad Spread

My favorite way to eat this spread is on Ritz crackers, but you could also put it on bread and make a sandwich out of it. I believe I found this recipe a few years ago on a card that came with a 4 pack of canned chicken breast from Sam's. I make this every once in a while when I am wanting something "light" to eat. It's super easy to whip up, and it makes for a great Springtime snack or lunch! 🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔 Servings: 4-6 Chicken Salad Spread Ingredients: 1/2 cup chopped celery 2 tablespoons of lemon juice 1/3 - 1/2 cup of mayonnaise 1/4  teaspoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon of pepper 1 teaspoon of creole seasoning 1 can of cooked chicken Directions: 1.) Mix all ingredients together in medium size bowl. 2.) Serve on crackers or use to make sandwich. Enjoy!

Vanilla Iced Coffee

Hey y'all If you purchase iced coffee regularly, you probably know that it can be a little on the expensive side to buy from the grocery store, even if you buy it in bulk. This is an easy recipe that you can make at home. It will save you some money, and you can even customize it with whatever coffee, sugar, and creamer that you like! ☁️ ☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️ Servings: 10 Vanilla Iced Coffee Ingredients: 10 cups of your favorite coffee Between 1/3 - 1/2 cup of cane sugar Between 1/3 - 1/2 cup of brown sugar 1/2 cup of  powdered vanilla coffee creamer We have a small, 5 cup coffee pot, so I brew two pots of coffee for this recipe. Directions: 1.) Brew coffee. 2.) Add coffee to a pitcher/container. 3.) Add cane sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla creamer while coffee is still hot. 4.) Stir well. 5.) Store in sealed container in refrigerator. I like to store mixed coffee in sealed Mason jars. 6.) To serve: Fill glass with ice. Pour cold coffee o

Cherry Fruit Salad

Hello everyone! In addition to the Carrot Cake, I made this Cherry Fruit Salad for Easter lunch this year. I first made it a few years ago, and my mother-in-law really liked it so I found the recipe again (it was actually in my cookbook and I had forgotten about it) and decided to make it again. I love fruit salads. This one is really great if you love cherries and cream cheese; It has a delicious cream cheese base and lots of maraschino cherries. I even think it might be good if you only used cherries for the fruit. I'm not going to lie, I only had one small tub of whipped topping, so my salad was not as fluffy as the previous time I made this. It had more of a cream cheese taste to it this time, but it still turned out wonderful! 🍒🍍🍒🍍🍒🍍🍒🍍🍒🍍🍒🍍🍒🍍🍒🍍 Recipe from "Can't Stay Out of the Kitchen" Servings: 12 Cherry Fruit Salad Ingredients: 29 oz. can of fruit cocktail 4-5 tablespoons of reserved fruit cocktail juice 1 large ca

Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Hey Y'all! I REALLY wanted to make a Carrot Cake from scratch this year so I did a little research and found this Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting.  It's definitely a winner!  It smelled so delicious while it was baking, and the Cream Cheese Frosting turned out AMAZING. The most time consuming part for me was shredding the carrots. If you're short on time, buy the pre-shredded carrots and use store bought frosting because sometimes, ain't nobody got time for that  😉 But try to make time for this frosting, ok? It's that good. 🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕 Recipe from Betty Crocker  Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 40-45 minutes Servings: 12 Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting Ingredients Cake: 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 cup vegetable oil 3 eggs 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon salt 3 cups shredded carrots (5 medium) 1 cup chopped walnuts or any nut

Slow Cooker Cherry Cobbler

Hey guys! I have made a peach cobbler like this before, and I've been wanting to try this  recipe with cherry pie filling instead.  When I made the peach cobbler, if I recall correctly, it took less time, more like 3 hours. I'll be honest, I sort of lost track of time yesterday, so I am not 100% sure exactly how long I cooked this. I believe it was probably closer to 4 hours, maybe a little longer. Anyway, it turned out great! I even took some over to my in-laws, and they really liked it. With only 3 ingredients, this couldn't be any easier! 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒 Cook Time: 3-5 hours Slow Cooker Cherry Cobbler Ingredients: 2- 21oz. cans cherry pie filling 1 box vanilla cake mix 8 oz., or 2 sticks, of unsalted butter, cut in small chunks Directions: 1.) Put pie filling in slow cooker 2.) Top with cake mix 3.) Add butter to top of cake mix 4.) Cook on HIGH 3-5 hours or until cake reaches desired consistency 5.) Top with vanilla ice-cream

Strawberry Brownies

Hey everyone! This week our school did a lunch/dinner fundraiser, and teachers were asked to bring a dessert to contribute. I decided to bring my lemon brownies and these Strawberry Brownies. After making my lemon brownies, I remembered that I had saved a new recipe for Strawberry Brownies that I came across on Facebook a little while back, so I decided to try it! I'll be honest, I ended up making two batches. The first I cooked exactly 15 minutes like the original recipe said. The recipe also said, "Be careful to remove before edges brown; these taste best when 'just done' rather than too done", but even after letting them sit, I still did not like the way they turned out. They just weren't done enough for my liking. On the second batch, I cooked them a few minutes longer, right to when the edges were starting to brown, and they turned out much better, in my opinion. This recipe was good, but I would definitely recommend cooking longer than 15 minutes. S

Old-Fashioned Vegetable Beef Soup

Hey Y'all! I did cut this recipe in half because what the recipe called for would have been wayyyy too much for us. Even after eating what we wanted, there was still plenty to take to work as left-overs. I did not have frozen corn on hand, so I used what I had left of a frozen "country blend" of vegetables that included corn, green beans, and carrots. I still added a few baby carrots. Also, I did not use any hot sauce, but I'm sure it would have been great with it. The husband doesn't do spicy food, so I would have only added it to mine if I had. If you're looking for a hearty soup that's easy to make, this is a great recipe! 🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄 Recipe from Food.com Cook Time: 1 1/2 hours Servings: 8-12 Old-Fashioned Vegetable Beef Soup Ingredients: 1 lb beef stew meat 1 onion 3 celery ribs 10 baby carrots (or a couple of regular carrots) 2 potatoes (peeled) 1 cup frozen corn 1 cup frozen peas 2- 14 oz. cans diced tomatoes 3 1
