Strawberry Brownies

Hey everyone!

This week our school did a lunch/dinner fundraiser, and teachers were asked to bring a dessert to contribute. I decided to bring my lemon brownies and these Strawberry Brownies. After making my lemon brownies, I remembered that I had saved a new recipe for Strawberry Brownies that I came across on Facebook a little while back, so I decided to try it!

I'll be honest, I ended up making two batches. The first I cooked exactly 15 minutes like the original recipe said. The recipe also said, "Be careful to remove before edges brown; these taste best when 'just done' rather than too done", but even after letting them sit, I still did not like the way they turned out. They just weren't done enough for my liking. On the second batch, I cooked them a few minutes longer, right to when the edges were starting to brown, and they turned out much better, in my opinion. This recipe was good, but I would definitely recommend cooking longer than 15 minutes.
Since Easter is right around the corner, I decided to add Whoppers Mini Robin Eggs® to the tops. These would make a bright and festive Easter dessert!

Recipe adapted from Patti Brown

Cook Time: 20 mins.
Servings: 9-12
Strawberry Brownies
Ingredients:
1 box of strawberry cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup of oil
1 cup of powdered sugar
1/2 - 2 tablespoons of water or milk

Directions:
1.) Mix strawberry cake mix, eggs, and oil until well blended
2.) Spread in 9 X 13 pan. (Optional: line pan with parchment paper. Lining makes it easier to lift entire contents for glazing/cutting)
3.) Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for around 18-20 mins. Watch and remove them when the edges begin to brown.
4.) Mix powdered sugar and water or milk until smooth. Pour glaze over brownies while they are still hot. (I USED 2 TBSP. OF MILK INSTEAD OF WATER.)
5.) Allow brownies to cool and glaze to set before cutting into squares.

Enjoy!

Cream Cheese Teddy Graham Dip

Hey y'all! This is a sweet and yummy treat that I have made several times before. I found the recipe a few years ago in a sale paper at a local grocery store. It is SUPER easy....and has cream cheese! The hardest part is putting it in the refrigerator to give it time to cool and harden. This time I did not have any mini chocolate chips on hand, so I used regular sized chips, and they worked just fine! Also, I couldn't decide on which Teddy Grahams to use, so I bought two different kinds for dipping. This would be a great dessert for kids of all ages, or even those of us who are just kids at heart. 💗 🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻 Recipe from: CV's sale paper Total Time: 10 minutes Servings: about 10 Cream Cheese Teddy Graham Dip Ingredients: 8 oz. package of cream cheese 1/2 cup of butter, softened 3/4 cup of powdered sugar 2 tablespoons of brown sugar 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 1 cup of mini semi-sweet chocolate chips Box of Teddy Grahams of your ...

A.1. Meatloaf

Hey everyone! Here's a recipe that I make fairly often. I'm not a huge fan of meatloaf really. This is more for the husband than anything, but this meatloaf has such a good flavor that I will eat it. I found this recipe on the side of an A.1. Original Sauce bottle and gave it a try a few years ago, and it has just kind of stuck! Whip up some mashed potatoes and heat up some green beans to go with it, and you've got yourself a meal. Recipe from: A.1. Original Sauce bottle Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 60-70 minutes Servings:6 A.1. Boston Cream Poke Cake

Hey guys! I can honestly say that this is one of the BEST desserts that I have made so far. Definitely in my top 5. Maybe even my top 3.  This was a new recipe that I tried on Labor Day, and I wish I would have found it sooner! It's one of my new favorites. It is so moist with the vanilla pudding, and i t is topped with a simple chocolate ganache that is just DELICIOUS !  I learned a few things while making this for the first time. First, you have to have some patience while waiting for this dessert to be done, but it's worth the wait. Second, if I had a baking dish slightly larger than a 9 X 13 I would use it next time because after adding the pudding and ganache on top, it was almost flowing over the pan. I definitely could not put a lid or anything on top to cover the cake without messing it up. Also, when poking the holes in the cake, I wish I would have made them a little bit larger so that the pudding would have soaked more into the cake. After pouring the gana...
