Hey y'all
I remember being a teenager and having my first Orange Julius® from the Dairy Queen® in the mall. I went back there for one whenever I got a chance. When I came across this recipe while searching for "summer" drinks, I knew that I had to give this a try. I tried looking up the exact ingredients that DQ® uses. I found some of the same ingredients that this recipe calls for, but it looks like they use some sort of base and sweeteners. Who really knows what all is in it... Anyway, I think that this copycat recipe is very similar.
Recipe from: The Frugal Girls
Ingredients:
6 ounces Orange Juice concentrate, frozen
1 cup of water
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of sugar (I used less sugar, about 1/4 cup and it was still plenty sweet.)
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
10 ice cubes
Directions:
1.) Place all ingredients in blender. Blend well.
