I used high heat to cook this, and it turned out fine; however, I think that you could easily achieve the same results just by popping the mixture into the microwave if you're short on time. It may turn out differently if you cook on low heat, but with high heat I feel like I might as well have stuck it in the microwave. It didn't feel like the crock-pot added anything extra special.

Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour or 2-3 hours
Ingredients:
1 can (20 oz.) of refried beans (I used a 16 oz. can)
1/2 cup of green onion, chopped

1 1/2 tablespoons of taco seasoning
1 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions:
1.) Combine all ingredients except cheese in greased 2 - 3 1/2 quart slow cooker.
2.) Cover and cook on HIGH heat for 30 minutes or on LOW heat for 2-3 hours.
3.) If cooking on HIGH heat, add cheese after 30 minutes then cook on LOW heat for an additional 30 minutes. If cooking on LOW heat, add cheese last hour of cooking.
4.) Serve with tortilla chips or inside of a warm flour tortilla.
