Everyone loves a Chocolate Chip Cookie, am I right? I have made these Bisquick™ cookies several times, and they always turn out wonderful! I love these cookies because they have a slightly crunchy outside, but they are soft and chewy on the inside. YUMMY!
Recipe adapted from Betty Crocker
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 8-10 minutes
Servings: 24
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of butter, softened
1 cup of brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoons of vanilla
1 egg
2 3/4 cups of Bisquick™ baking mix
1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Optional: 1/2 cup of nuts, chopped
Directions:
1.) Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
2.) In large bowl mix butter, sugar, vanilla, and egg with hand mixer.
3.) Stir in Bisquick™ mix, chocolate chips, and nuts.
4.) Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly.
5.) Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
6.) Remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack.

Great blog about Hot Springs, and of course chocolate chip cookies! The gardens and the peacock were gorgeous. I will make these cookies when the grandkids come!
